The kinetic theory as it applies to gases includes<br />

the following fundamental assumptions about gases.<br />

Gas particles are usually molecules or atoms.<br />

Gases can fill up their containers regardless of the<br />

shape or volume.<br />

Gas pressure is a result from the force exerted by a<br />

gas per unit surface area of an object.<br />

Also a single particle in a gas is a moving body, the<br />

force it exerts is extremely small.<br />

If there is no particles presented, no collisions can<br />

occur.<br />

An empty space with no particles and no pressure<br />

is called a vacuum.<br />
