Romeo Star by Romantic Star/Mister A (breeder:
Jörg H. Ohlmann, Hagen) and Elena Sidneva
qualified for the final freestyle of the
first show-week with a fifth place in the
Grand Prix in Vidauban. The pair received the
forth-best score in the freestyle.
Royal Spirit (VA)
Royal Spirit by Romanov/Weltgeist (breeder:
Heinrich Gießelmann, Barver) traveled to Vidauban
for the “Spring Tour” on the second
weekend. Benjamin Werndl rode him into
forth place in Intermediaire I for seven- to
nine-year olds.
Santo Stefano Francis
Two Hanoverians shared fifth place in the
first class for juniors at the CDI-J in Vidauban.
Camilla Mauro presented Santo Stefano
Francis by Fabriano/Wenzel II (breeder: Barbara
Fuchs, Sant’Ippolito/Italy). The pair enjoyed
a third place in the freestyle.
Saturday Night Fever (VA)
Luis Carrillo Sopena discovered Saturday
Night Fever by Sandro Hit/Fabriano (breeder:
Gabriele and Joachim Nanninga, Süderwalsede)
on Verden’s winter auction in 2006.
They participated in the European Championships
for young riders last year. The pair started
the CDI-Y with a fifth place in the FEIteam
test on the first weekend of the “Spring
Tour” in Vidauban,.
St. Pr. Aspirant Seagry Sanay (VA)
Seagry Sanay by Stedinger/Wolkentanz
(breeder: Hermann Ulbrich, Peine) was one of
the top selling horses at the elite auction last
autumn. The brown mare finished the final
for five-year old dressage horses in third
place with rider Sam Ramatallah from Great
Britain at the CDI in Vidauban.
Sini Spirit (VA)
Emma Kanerva rode Sini Spirit by Espri/
Glücksgriff (breeder: Udo Wiechert, Loxstedt-
Nesse) into second place in the Grand Prix as
well as the Special during the second week of
the dressage show in Vidauban.
Soraya II
Soraya II by Sandro Hit/Donnerhall (breeder:
Wilhelm Borchers, Groß-Lessen) attracted attention
with good results. She traveled to Vidauban
where Stella Hagelstam rode the
eleven-year old into forth place in the Grand
Prix after a fifth place in the Grand Prix-Freestyle
in Vestfold/Norway. The pair enjoyed a
forth place in the Grand Prix Special during
the second week.
Warhol
Two Hanoverian were in the lead in the Prix
St. Georges of the first week of the “Spring
Tour” in Vidauban. Warhol by Warkant/Saint
Cloud (breeder: Friedrich Sievers, Gifhorn)
and Francoise Hologne-Joux from Belgium
achieved the second best result. The pair led
the way in the following Inter I. Warhol had
two excellent performances at Intermediaire
and in the Freestyle and placed third both
times during the second week before he left
France.
Waitano
Waitano by Wolkentanz/Wanderbusch II
(breeder: Horst Ullmann, Remels) finished in
the ribbons at the CDI in Orange. The twelveyear
old Waitano and rider Mark Kiddle finished
fifth in St. Georges and Inter. I.
Waterkant (VA)
Jessica Werndl celebrated a victory in Prix St.
Georges and a fifth place in Intermediaire I
with Waterkant by Wolkenstein II/Matcho AA
(breeder: Wilhelm Tann, Niederstrich) during
the first week in Vibaudan.
Wenziana (VA)
Martina Steisslinger from Austria and her
mount Wenziana by Wolkenstein II/Lanthan
(breeder: Franz Sassen, Hoyherhagen) experienced
one of their greatest successes in
Dormund’s Westfalen-Halle. The pair finished
the Grand Prix-Freestyle in second place. •
