that everyone is a part of one, big family. It is a slight contrast in<br />
the urban versus rural lives that we o� en see today. Yet, we see<br />
how someone from the city can fall in love with a western girl, and<br />
how the folks in Deadrock do have higher aspira� ons for the people<br />
they can be. The musical is a compila� on of Gershwin songs and<br />
standards that were arranged around a new story in the 1990's.<br />
They did not originally write this musical as we see it today. Instead,<br />
an earlier musical, Show Girl, was updated to become the show we<br />
hope that you enjoy today.<br />

In many ways, the ideas of "family" and of the alumni taking<br />
such an invested role in crea� ng Crazy for You® go together.<br />
Without the support, dedication, and commitment of Molly Jonas<br />
(choreographer), David Larsen, Andy Thiele, and Cody Thielen (set<br />
designers and construction), Alexandra Gilbert (stage crew lead),<br />
and the numerous other alumni who gave back to the theatre<br />
department during this musical, it would not have been the success<br />
it was and our current students would not have learned as much as<br />
they did.
