McNeilized: To Inspire Passion
You might say our football team
was McNeilized this fall. The
boys played with passion, focus, and
heart; much to the delight of their
fellow students, parents and coaches.
One coach, in par cular, showed
keen insight on what mo vates and
inspires greatness in 16, 17, and 18
year old males - thick, juicy steaks on
the grill. A hearty supply of Nebraska
beef, was supplied nearly every
week, courtesy of Coach Barney
McNeil.
Coach Barney McNeil and his wife
Julie are current SC parents. Their
daughter Alli is a sophomore. Their
son Andy was a member of the
2005 State Championship football
team. Daughter Melissa is a 2008
SC graduate. Barney has been an
assistant volunteer coach for three of
the past four years.
