93 Brian Weinstein, in addition
to his duties as a firefighter,
holds the position of president
of IAFF Local 737, a local union
representing the 65 uniformed
employees of the Ithaca Fire
Department.
Edward Velez joined the law
firm of Epstein Becker & Green,
specializing in labor and employment
law in July, 2002.
Julia Prieto, formerly Julia
Reichgott, was married to
Daniel Prieto in July 2002. The
marriage took place in Seville,
Spain. Julia also joined Bank
One Corp. in July of 2002.
ILR grad elected member
of Syracuse law firm
Subhash Viswanathan ’92 was recently elected member
of the Syracuse-based law firm of Bond, Schoeneck
& King, PLLC. Mr. Viswanathan belongs to the firm’s
thirty-five-attorney labor and employment law department.
His practice includes representation
and counseling of employers in a variety
of matters, including employment
discrimination litigation, National Labor
Relations Board proceedings, and labor
arbitrations. He is a frequent speaker
on labor and employment law topics
for various legal and human resource
professional groups. Mr. Viswanathan
earned his law degree, with high honors,
from Duke University School of Law in 1995. Founded
in 1897, Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC has 160 attorneys in
Albany, Buffalo, Oswego, Syracuse, and Utica, New York; in
Overland Park, Kansas; and through the firm affiliate, Bond,
Schoeneck & King, P.A., in Bonita Springs, FL and Naples,
FL. The firm serves small and large businesses, educational
and health care institutions, media, municipalities, not-forprofit
organizations, and individual clients.
95 Lisa Hanney got married October
11, 2002. She also had
a job change, as her dot com
closed in November. She is
currently the director of human
resources for Chemical Week
Associates in NYC.
John Claus and his wife,
Jeanne, welcomed their third
child on August 31, 2002. Her
name is Abigail Suzanne and
she joins her big sisters Gabrielle
and Madeline.
96 Patricia Campos has joined the
legislative department of UNITE!
97 Jonas Chartock has served for
the last year and a half as the
executive director of Teach For
America - Houston. Teach For
America is the national corps
of outstanding recent college
graduates of all academic majors
who commit two years to
teach in urban and rural public
schools and become lifelong
leaders in the effort to expand
opportunity for children.
Thomas Campenni and Christine
Mantione were married
on August 3, 2002 at Immaculate
Conception Church, West
Pittston.
Juliet Hershey was married on
February 21, 2003 to Christopher
Beatty at the First Presbyterian
Church in New York.
98 Evan Shenkman married Jennifer

Chapel at Cornell in July of
2002. Andrew Lah, ILR ’98, was
a groomsman and Colin Dougherty,
