Eyelid Reconstruction

• The usual amount of plication is approximately 3
mm to each 1 mm of ptosis
• This procedure is not effective for patients who have
progressive aponeurosis dehiscence (the aponeurosis
will continue to dehisce)
• The plication technique is an excellent noninvasive way
to repair minimal long-standing eyelid asymmetry
