FEBRUARY
1, 2013
Dear Friends, as we enter the Lenten season on Ash Wednesday, February 13, we will explore parables of Jesus that
interject hope and positive messages into desperate and anxious situations. God’s faithfulness and mercy offset forces
within us and outside us that create tension or cause us to doubt the goodness life does indeed offer. Join us as we explore
and express hope and resiliency.
Wednesday Night, After Supper Program: VISUALIZING HOPE
Some of us use words to express our faith while some of us use and enjoy visual imagery - banners, art, color, textures.
For several nights we will play with visual images as we “hear the Word” of God, and allow our hearts, our emotions
to speak to our minds. We will read and discuss the scriptures together, see some projected art, and then let our creative
side enjoy doodling, painting, pasting, coloring. As you reflect and draw and doodle, what colors do you think of? What
shapes emerge? Textures? What images come to mind; what emotions stir, what places or persons or events come to
mind? Come enjoy with us and let your sense stir your creativity. 6:15pm Room 11, Activity Center
Thank you to all the men and women of the Trinity
Presbyterian Prayer Group for your faithful prayers and
thoughtfulness. Since August 8, 2012, when I had a
stroke and had complications, God has blessed me and
our family with many friends praying for us!
Sincerely, Ann Dees (mother of Laura & Zane Dees,
and mother-in-law of Anghaarad Teague Dees
Dear Church Family,
Even though she was not a member of our congregation,
the love and support that has been poured out by
the church family regarding the death of my sister Lyn
Shepherd, has been very touching to my family . First,
many of you provided much needed food for the family
and friends. Others sent beautiful, comforting cards to
us. The number of you who took time out of your busy
schedule to attend Lyn's funeral was very meaningful
to me. Last but not least, I felt the comfort of your
prayers.
Thank you once again for your prayerful concern.
Dear Trinity,
Please forgive this over-due note
of “Thanks.” Thank you for all the
cards, visits, calls and prayers during
my recent illness. Your soup ministry
was so welcomed and so delicious!
Thank you again for all the love
shown. I look forward to returning as
soon as I’m able. Miss Patsy & Family
Dear Trinity Prayer Group,
Thank you so much for continuing
to pray for me. I know god,
Our Heavenly Father, hears your
prayers because my blood count is
stable and my disease has not progressed.
Love to all, Cheryl Powell.
Dear Trinity Prayer Group, Mariano
and I are so grateful for your concern
and care and most of all your prayers.
Sometimes I will feel so down but to
think that the Lord God cares and a
lot of people are praying for us makes
me go on. He [Mariano] is stable but
please continue to pray for him.
Thank you so much!
Lorna & Mariano Pacheco
We wish to thank our Trinity family for
all the prayers, expressions of concern,
visits, food, and ongoing support
during Carl's recent hospitalization
and stay at Lifecare. What a wonderful
church family we are privileged to be a
part of! Words are just not adequate
to convey our gratitude, but please
know that each of you occupies a special
place in our hearts. Your continued
prayers for Carl during his ongoing
recovery will provide much needed
support. God Bless you all!
Linda and Carl Meyer

Dear Friends, Thank you so much for your support as we have dealt with the untimely loss of Lisa.
Your generosity, thoughts and prayers have sustained us through these trying times.
Zach will be starting school at U of F in January. He is looking forward to settling into his
college life. I am staying busy with work and managing the household including our wonderful
Shelties, Max and Rocky.
We had photos taken recently and wanted to share them with you. We appreciate your
friendship and encourage you to stay in close touch with us as we continue o our journey of healing
from our loss and honoring Lisa’s many contributions to all of our lives.
Love and Blessings, Dan and Zach Noyes
Dear Prayer Group,
Thank you for all of your
THE OUTREACH TEAM would like to
thank you, the congregation, for your
support of the Mission Market last
November! The amount raised was
$3,677.00 and will help the many
needs of the less fortunate. We are
blessed to be in this loving, giving and
caring church. Thank each and every
one that helped and/or donated to
this mission. May God continue to
Registration is open for the 2013 Presbyterian Winter Retreat!
Registration fee is $75. The Pensacola Beach retreat will be held February 23
& 24, a Saturday and Sunday, at Springhill Suites by Marriott. Special room rates
will be available.
This year our guest speaker will be an engaging Gulf Breeze artist, Betty
Shoopman, who has titled the 2013 retreat Refreshing Waves of Grace. Betty attends
Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church, and truly has strong roots in Northwest
Florida -- she is a descendant of Spanish settlers. When Betty is not working
as a graphic artist, she enjoys spending time with her husband Dennis, her beloved
Schnauzer, and her grandchildren.
All in all, this retreat promises to be a refreshing weekend by the seashore,
enriched by our friendships and our enduring faith. So plan to give yourself an
early Christmas gift, and sign up soon for the 2013 retreat.
Please contact Lucy Trawick or Carol Powell for scholarship information.
Food, fun and fellowship. Bring a friend and a dish of your favorite
food to share to potluck lunch after worship on Sunday, February
10th. We will have a cart in the narthex to collect your dishes and heat
or refrigerate as needed.
In January, we had a nice turn-out of 10 bowlers including
4 first timers with Eileen Mignerey taking the
top prize. The next outing will be Thursday, February
7 starting at 7:00 at Cordova Lanes - come join us.
