<strong>on</strong> things that <strong>on</strong>ly I could know. While she was speaking, she<br />

seemed to be in ano<strong>the</strong>r world. Her voice was soft and<br />

peaceful. Then as our meeting ended, she gave me her ph<strong>on</strong>e<br />

number and said, “I would really like to meet you again. <str<strong>on</strong>g>You</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

and your wife should come visit so<strong>on</strong>.” And so, we did a few<br />

m<strong>on</strong>ths later.<br />

We so<strong>on</strong> became very good friends. Many of <strong>the</strong> things<br />

she foretold began to take place. In less than six m<strong>on</strong>ths I’d<br />

lost my job when <strong>the</strong> company moved to ano<strong>the</strong>r state. Although<br />

I remained unemployed for a while before finding ano<strong>the</strong>r<br />

positi<strong>on</strong>, I used <strong>the</strong> time to start my own small, parttime<br />

business. Since <strong>the</strong>n, many things changed for <strong>the</strong> better.<br />

The company grew and diversified. We moved from our<br />

apartment into a house and <strong>the</strong>n a few years later into a much<br />

larger <strong>on</strong>e.<br />

Throughout <strong>the</strong> years, June remained a c<strong>on</strong>stant friend<br />

and advisor. Every six m<strong>on</strong>ths or so, between her radio shows<br />

or televisi<strong>on</strong> interviews, she would visit us for a week or two.<br />

These visits were always very special. By this time, Mardai<br />

and I were <strong>the</strong> parents of two beautiful children and June<br />

would spend hours with <strong>the</strong>m.<br />

Little Malika was a favorite of June’s and J<strong>on</strong>athan<br />

would keep her busy for hours. So it was with joy and excitement<br />

that we were, <strong>on</strong>ce again, awaiting June’s arrival. We<br />

had not seen her in almost six m<strong>on</strong>ths so, <strong>the</strong>re would be<br />

much to talk about. We were now totally used to her strange<br />

abilities and hardly questi<strong>on</strong>ed <strong>the</strong>m at all. We had certainly<br />

seen enough over <strong>the</strong> years to know that she had that rare<br />

“gift of seeing.”<br />

I w<strong>on</strong>dered what Gide<strong>on</strong> was doing. With June’s arrival,<br />
