Parent/Guardian Permission
Dear Girl Scout Parent/Guardian:
Please read this letter before you complete the attached permission slip. We want the Girl Scout Cookie Sale to be a
positive learning experience for your child. Through the sale, she will have opportunities to learn business skills, develop
poise when meeting the public, and feel a real sense of accomplishment in doing something that helps her troop and
provides support for her council.
For each box a girl sells, her troop earns troop proceeds (ranging from 55 cents – 78 cents/box) that can help her troop
do the fun-filled, educational activities that make Girl Scouting special to your child. The remaining proceeds are used to
provide camping program, troop services, Girl Scout events, and quality Girl Scout program activities.
Your child's troop will be conducting a Cookie Booth Sale at the location(s) listed below. If you can help by assisting the
Troop Cookie Manager with transportation and/or sales supervision, please indicate your willingness on the attached
permission slip.
