One of the first things a girl asks when she becomes a Girl
Scout is, “Do I get to sell cookies?” And when you ask a girl
why she likes to sell cookies the first answer is most
often, “Because it’s fun!”
While girls have fun they are also gaining five important
life skills:
1. Goal Setting
2. Decision Making
3. Money Management
4. People Skills
5. Business Ethics
What’s just as important as the money raised through
Girl Scout Product Sales? Real skills and the confidence
they bring. To meet the needs of today’s girls we must
engage them in fun with purpose—and prepare them for
their futures.
