SHANNON ESTUARY<br />
6.1 GENERAL<br />
Masters of vessels at a facility within the <strong>Shannon</strong> <strong>Estuary</strong> are obliged to report a number of<br />
issues/events or requests for permission. This can be done directly or through their agent to the Marine<br />
Operations Department. Additional permissions may be required if vessel is moored at a privately owned<br />
facility.<br />
6.2 ISSUES TO BE REPORTED<br />
Reports or requests include:<br />
Bunkering alongside by road tanker.<br />
Bunkering at anchor or alongside by barge.<br />
Taking stores and spare parts.<br />
Crew changes boarding and leaving.<br />
Lowering boats and rafts.<br />
Undergoing repairs.<br />
Engine immobilisation at a facility.<br />
Anchoring in <strong>Shannon</strong> <strong>Estuary</strong><br />
Under water inspections.<br />
Oil or cargo spills.<br />
Collisions/ groundings<br />
Change of name / port of registration.<br />
