SHANNON ESTUARY<br />
ANCHORAGES : A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, J, K AND L.<br />
With depths from 11 to 32 metres anchorages identified as A, C, E are suitable for vessels up to 17.4<br />
metres draught.<br />
Anchorages identified as B,H and L are suitable for vessels from 16.5 to 14.5m draught with anchorage F<br />
up to 11m draught. Anchorage H has been designated for Tankers.<br />
Anchorages D,G,J and K are for vessel with small draughts.<br />
ANCHORAGES M,N,O, P, Q, AND R.<br />
These anchorages are suitable for coasters, with anchorage P designated for tankers.<br />
Note:<br />
Due to tidal conditions Masters are warned of the necessity to keep a vigilant anchor watch at all times.<br />
Special attention must also be paid to weather forecasts transmitted by Valentia Radio / <strong>Shannon</strong><br />
Coastguard.<br />
Engines must be maintained in a state of readiness and immobilization is prohibited.<br />
