SCHOLARSHIP FUND: Established by Vernon C. and<br />

Nora T. Porter. Preference given to students from the<br />

Magnolia, Ark., area; secondary preference given to applicants<br />

from Southern Arkansas.<br />

PRE-ENGINEERING/ENGINEERING ENDOWED<br />

SCHOLARSHIP FUND: Established by Wilson and<br />

Marjorie Shope for students enrolled in pre-engineering or<br />

engineering when such a major is offered to benefit fulltime<br />

students who maintain a satisfactory grade point average<br />

and have a good reputation among faculty and students.<br />

PREMEDICAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP FUND:<br />

A $500 scholarship for full-time premedicine students with<br />

a 3.25 GPA.<br />

DUANE E. PRIEST MEMORIAL FUND: Established by<br />

friends in memory of Duane E. Priest for premedical students.<br />

PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL SERVICES (PRO-MED)<br />

SCHOLARSHIP: Established by the company to assist<br />

students from White and Cleburne Counties in Arkansas.<br />

PROMISE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP FUND: To<br />

benefit students who have participated in the <strong>Harding</strong><br />

Advance Program and are entering their junior or senior year.<br />

Consideration will be based on demonstration of effort,<br />

attendance, academic progress and spiritual, emotional and<br />

social development.<br />

JAMES WILKES PUGH SCHOLARSHIP FUND: Established<br />

by the will of James Wilkes Pugh of Amarillo, Texas,<br />

for students majoring in the natural sciences and maintaining<br />

a “B” average. Priority to students who reside in the<br />

Ozark Mountains of northern Arkansas and northeastern<br />

Oklahoma.<br />

NITA McGLOTHLIN RAMPEY ENDOWED SCHOL-<br />

ARSHIP FUND: Established in her memory by her husband<br />

to assist outstanding young men and women.<br />

A. K. RAMSEY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND:<br />

Established in memory and honor of A. K. Ramsey for his<br />

35 years of service as a preacher for the churches of Christ<br />

in Louisiana to provide scholarships for Bible majors. Preference<br />

is given to students from Louisiana.<br />

WILDA RATLIFF SCHOLARSHIP FUND: Established<br />

by the estate of Wilda Ratliff to benefit students in the<br />

School of Biblical Studies who plan to preach.<br />

READER’S DIGEST FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP<br />

FUND: An endowment fund whose income provides scholarship<br />

aid to deserving students.<br />

JAMES WALTER AND VIRGINIA LOUISE REAVES<br />

SCHOLARSHIP FUND: Established by the Reaves to<br />

benefit students who are preparing to preach full time.<br />

JULIA ANN REED ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP<br />

FUND: Established by Dwaine and Shirley Reed in memory<br />

of their daughter. Recipients must have a grade point average<br />

of 3.0 and not exceeding 3.25.<br />

IVAN REGIDA ENDOWED MEMORIAL SCHOLAR-<br />

SHIP FUND: Established in memory of Ivan Regida to provide<br />

financial assistance to seniors who are majoring in<br />

international business, are Russian nationals or descendants<br />

of Ivan Regida.<br />

KIM RICHARDS SCHOLARSHIP FUND: Established<br />

by Mr. and Mrs. M.T. Richards in memory of their daughter<br />

for worthy students from southern Illinois or southern<br />

Florida.<br />

WILLA MAE RICHTER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP<br />

FUND: Established by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Barr in memory<br />

of Mrs. Barr’s mother to provide financial assistance to<br />

worthy students.<br />

GEORGE M. ROBERTS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP<br />

FUND: Provides financial assistance to a deserving senior<br />

who has financial need.<br />

HERBERT AND BETTYE ROBERTSON SCHOLAR-<br />

SHIP FUND: For a financially deserving White County resident<br />

who is achieving a satisfactory academic record.<br />

HARVEY AND AMY ROBINS ENDOWED SCHOLAR-<br />

SHIP FUND: Established to financially assist full-time<br />

theatre majors.<br />

LAWRENCE AND VERNICE RODERICK ORPHAN<br />

ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP FUND: Established to<br />

assist deserving students with special consideration given to<br />

orphans. Awards are based on need, scholastic ability, diligence,<br />

and industriousness.<br />

ROLLER FUNERAL HOMES ENDOWED SCHOLAR-<br />

SHIP FUND: Established by the Roller family of Little<br />

Rock, primarily for students from the Searcy area, but any<br />

Arkansas student may be eligible for this scholarship.<br />

SUE ROPER ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP FUND: Established<br />

by Sidney Roper in loving memory of his wife, Sue<br />

Roper, to provide financial assistance to deserving students.<br />

KENNETH ROSE SCHOLARSHIP FUND: Established<br />

by the family and friends of Kenneth Rose to honor his memory<br />

for students exemplifying his qualities. Students must<br />

be entering their senior year, having completed at least<br />

three semesters at <strong>Harding</strong>.<br />

L.O. SANDERSON MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP: Established<br />

to honor L.O. Sanderson and to assist upper-class<br />

music majors who have a 3.0 GPA, have financial need, and<br />

are actively involved in vocal church music.<br />

ARSHIP FUND: Established to provide scholarships to<br />

nursing majors with the greatest need.<br />
