Writing Job Descriptions<br />

This one- day workshop, aimed at human resource practitioners provides insights into the<br />

skills and capabilities for successful job description writing and review.<br />

In this practical training, participants will:<br />

• Examine clarity and accountability mapping as key tools in adding value and providing quality assurance;<br />

• Gain practical experience and tips in writing and critiquing job descriptions;<br />

• Ensure they are prepared to advise and support leaders in creating job descriptions through skilled<br />

interviewing and feedback.<br />

The training will address job descriptions from a broad perspective. Participants will be asked to<br />

bring a sample from their own organization to position the learning in their context and practices.<br />

Cost:<br />

The registration fee is $899 plus applicable taxes. Please note that a 10% discount will be applied for three or<br />

more registrations from the same organization.<br />

Giving Effective Performance Feedback<br />

Facilitator: Suzanne Liska Date: February 23, <strong>2012</strong><br />

This one-day workshop is targeted to all levels of leadership. Providing effective performance<br />

feedback is often rated as a top concern of people leaders. Participants will learn how to<br />

apply effective communication techniques to provide useful performance feedback and<br />

how to deal with employees at different stages of willingness and capability. The learning<br />

approach includes the use of role-playing an interim review feedback<br />

conversation and a difficult feedback conversation.<br />
