Holz-Handwerk 2008
From 2 nd to 5 th of April the fair-network "Holz-Handwerk"
and “Fensterbau” which takes place every two years in the
exhibition center in Nuremberg, proved again to be the
central forum all around the handicraft woodworking trade.
With altogether almost 103.000 guests and 1.276 exhibitors
the fair-pair could increase again.
With our new fair stand we surprised the
professional public once again. The colour
choice of the stand was reduced to a
dominant white in combination with dark
wood components and a contrasty red
parquet floor. All around it was a bright,
friendly and clearly arranged exhibition
stand on which our guests could probably
feel comfortable.
This year, the presentation of samples was
made according to a new concept, arranged
according to furnishing trends and -styles.
With a modern and attracting look, the
single sample walls were named as "Natural
Home", "Exotic Garden", "Modern Loft " or
"Business Lounge".
Every theme wall shows an assortment of
different surfaces, applied on different and
on a lot of new carriers, like glass, Vinterio
veneers, Alpi or unusual tropical veneers like
e.g. Amaranth, Tineo or Vavona-vein.
The most important messages
regarding the participation in this
years’ exhibition:
• Lignal is the forum for the exchange of
ideas regarding surface design.
• Most of the presented colours and effects
can be produced with solvent-containing
as well as with waterbased coatings.
• Many lacquers, effects and stains are
adjusted by the Lignal retailer in his "local
lacquer factory" quickly and uncomplicated
by sophisticated mixing systems.
• High-gloss coatings - PUR, Hydro-PUR,
Hydro UV, Hydro DualCure – for
handcraft and industry.
• Coating of tropical timbers -
also applicable with Hydro-PUR lacquers.

As a result of the great demand
and increasing order volumes of high
gloss surfaces interior decorators and
joineries often reach the limits of their
capacities.
Here, the application of fast drying
polyester primers may be useful.
Within one day only, UPE-Primers
produce a stable carrier coat for
following high gloss coatings.
Hesse-Lignal offers reliably applicable,
styrene-free UPE-Primers with lowest
odour nuisance and emission for
colourless and pigmented coatings:
Application can be made with usual cup
guns, but also on a suitable 2C-line.
Hardening takes place at a normal
ambient temperature of 20°C without
additional expensive expenditure for
investments in drying technologies.

„Impossible Huddle“
Gladly we present you this huge
reference object

This has kept the agency MOVE IT
MEDIA in suspense for some months.
The task was to achieve the impossible
within a sporty timetable of the client
adidas: Requested were highly realistic
looking players in the European
Championship. XXXL-figures at the
Zurich railway station, deadline 6. June
2008 in time with the start of the
European Football Championship.
Under the direction of Martin Dippel,
the figure parts consisting of polystyrene
or hard foam with an epoxy-resin
shell, metamorphosed into amazingly
authentic-looking legs, socks, shoes
and heads.
So, for the project also nitro-lacquers
or 2-C acrylic lacquers have partly been
used as clear finishes.
Furthermore, by combination of Top-
Finish clear lacquer and Hydro-Colour
concentrates all kinds of glazes can be
easily produced, as well.
Those were often wanted, because
realistic painting requires the most fine
colour nuances.

Benzema, Vieira, Chivu, Ivanschitz and
Barnetta
For this, the Dortmund artist has used
almost exclusively Hesse-Hydro lacquers.
And this not only because of the strict fire
control regulations in Switzerland

its water basis it perfectly combines simple
application and cleaning, low odour nuisance
and an extraordinarily good adhesion
on almost all (even difficult) carriers“

with other colour systems is pretty
unproblematic.
