KERRY BALLAST
Kerry Ballast is the Director of Special Projects, Standards and Programs, at the Texas
Education Agency.

RHONDA BARNWELL
Rhonda Barnwell has been in education for six years, all of those years she has been both at
Long Middle School and Special Education. During her first year as a teacher, she worked in
the Behavior Unit, after that she became an Inclusion teacher in the English Language Arts
Department. She has also been the Special Education Department Chair for the last four years.
During such time students have shown gains across subject areas.

KELLY BEVIS-WOODIEL
Kelly Bevis Woodiel is the Associate Director of Instructional Services at the Education Service
Center, Region 2 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Prior to working at ESC 2, Kelly worked at ESC 20 in
the areas of curriculum, school improvement, and special education.
