Executive Summary Twisted and Toasted Pretzels aims to provide delicious pretzels to the hungry citizens of Humboldt county during fairs, festivals, and special events. Pretzels are a classic food that has withstood the test of time. Imagine being at your favorite local event, stomach growling and famished, when all of a suddenly you smell the aroma of fresh pretzels being cooked nearby. Low priced and wholly satisfying, these pretzels will be hard to resist for even the most frugal consumer. The soft pretzels will be prepared right here in Humboldt county in several varieties and grilled on the spot on a charcoal grill built right into an attractive stand. These inexpensive and satisfying snacks are simple and easy to make, and would provide the owner with some extra income over time. This is a made up business plan for a fictional high school student in Arcata who is planning a pretzel cart as a part time business. There is no one way to write a business plan, just as there is no one set way to run a business. A good business plan would tell the story of a business, as well as describe things such as marketing and pricing, estimate revenue and have detailed financial projections, and detail day to day operations among other things. Other features are unique to the business plan, such as the section on planning for success/failure. A good business plan will address those topics, but may not have a whole section devoted to them. The important thing is to have the business thought out ahead of time, and even a plan that shows a business can lose money can be a successful plan in the sense that it can save the owner from losing money in real life.
