NATIVE FAUNA CONTINUED GOAL: To Foster Community Learning and Action Objective Action / Activity Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and Targets: KPI 12: Positive change in community awareness of native fauna. Target 1: 40% increase in community awareness by 2015. Target 2: 20% increase in fauna sightings reported by the community by 2015. F4 - Raise community awareness about native fauna in Hume by: F4.1 Facilitating ‘Wildlife Experiences’ workshops through the Live Green Program each year. F4.2 Encouraging community participation in native fauna surveying and monitoring programs facilitated by Council, Melbourne Water, Merri Creek Management Committee, Parks Victoria and other organisations. KPI 13: Positive change in community capacity to manage native fauna habitat. Target: 40% increase in community capacity to manage native fauna by 2015. F5 - Build the capacity of rural landowners to manage pest animals on their land by: F5.1 Providing targeted information, training and incentives to landowners in accordance with the Hume Rabbit Action Plan. 18 HUME CITY COUNCIL NATURAL HERITAGE STRATEGY ACTION PLAN 2011 - 2015
