GEOLOGY AND GEOMORPHOLOGY GOAL: To Demonstrate Excellence in Stewardship Objective Action / Activity Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and Targets: KPI 3: Strengthened statutory protection for significant geological sites and features. Target: All sites protected by relevant planning scheme controls. GG1 - Protect Sites of Geological and Geomorphological Significance, Scenic Hilltops and Major Ridgelines in Hume by: GG1.1 Undertaking a pre-feasibility study of all Scenic Hilltops and Major Ridgelines in Hume to determine: • which are priorities for protection. • whether or not the current 30m vertical buffer for hilltops and ridgelines and the 30m setback from escarpments in developments are appropriate to ensure their protection. GG1.2 Undertaking a study to determine what sites Council considers significant from a geological and geomorphological basis, the features that contribute to this significance and the measures required to achieve this.
