OPERATION<br />
Stopping the Engine<br />
1. Move the throttle to the minimum position (tortoise<br />
symbol).<br />
2. Move the steering controls outward.<br />
3. Disengage the mower deck by depressing the<br />
blade switch.<br />

Disengage the mower deck and move throttle to minimum<br />
4. Raise the mower deck by pressing the foot pedal<br />
forward to the transport position.<br />
5. When the machine is standing still, activate the<br />
parking brake by pulling the lever upward.<br />
If the engine has been worked hard, allow it to idle<br />
at least 60 seconds to attain a normal operating<br />
temperature before stopping. To prevent fouling<br />
the spark plugs, avoid idling the engine for longer<br />
periods.<br />
Raise deck to transport position<br />

6. Turn the ignition key to the stop position.<br />
7. Remove key. Always remove key when leaving the<br />
mower to prevent unauthorized use.<br />
