these two projects infant <strong>mortality</strong> was also<br />

lowest for products <strong>of</strong> mothers 25-29 years<br />

old and much higher for those <strong>of</strong> tile young­<br />

est mothers. The numbers were small in<br />

Sherbrooke, which probably accounts for<br />

natal <strong>mortality</strong> in the various projects are in<br />

general similar, with fewer differences than<br />

those observed in infant <strong>mortality</strong>.<br />

The projects in Sherbrooke and California<br />

are shown in Figure 120 using a smaller<br />

scale, tile death rates being much lower than<br />
