DYNAMIC MONITORING SYSTEM<br />
In December 2009 a dynamic monitoring system was installed in the Fortress, composed by an acquisition unit connected to<br />
eight high sensitivity piezoelectric accelerometers. The central unit, located at the second floor of the fortress, in the South-<br />
East wing, is provided with a Wi-Fi router for remote data transmission.<br />
A couple of reference sensors is fixed at the base of the structure for the record of the ground acceleration both in<br />
operational conditions <strong>and</strong> during seismic events. The positioning of the acceleration sensors on the elevation of the S-East<br />
wing was decided as a result of the structural dynamic identification.<br />
