High performance
maintenance vehicle for
highways and roads
Marcel Boschung AG's Jetbroom offers an optimal solution for
the ever-increasing expectations of winter maintenance personnel
for roads and highways.
The compact basic vehicle - based on an in-house design - is
equipped with 2 engines (one for traction, the other for attachments),
which together deliver more than 800 HP. As a multifunctional
machine, it accepts a variety of equipment. For winter
maintenance, this is mainly a snow plough, a broom, a turbine
with 2 blowers and a spreader. This way, "black-clearing"
is ensured while simultaneously spreading liquid, solid or mixed
thawing agent: a unique combination! In summer, a vacuum
sweeper unit can be mounted, and even a liquid recovery unit
as an option.

What is ”black-clearing“
By using a broom and 2 blowers, snow and sludge are
completely cleared from the treated surface. Boschung
benefits from more than 20 years experience in this field
on airports, where black-clearing is an absolute necessity.
This process massively increases trafic security, and blackclearing
greatly reduces thawing agent consumption. This
results in reduced costs and impact on the environment,
as well as higher vehicle operating times and reduced
reliance on salt-loading stations.

The broom's suspension system does not
require castor wheels and enables continuous
raising and lowering of the broom, with automatic
ground pressure regulation. The broom
adapts itself to the surface's nature and allows
high speed. In bends, inclination sensors keep
the broom in a perfectly horizontal cleaning
position
