Koshti Weavers Mostly well-to-do farmers. They 27 no longer weave. A,few households have. members with government jobs in the village while members•of others are serving outside the village. Maratha Farming About 20% of the households are 138 well-to-do while the rest are pooi. Their main occupation is farming; the poor families earn their livelihood from wages. A few households have members serving outside the village in government. 178 (.421) ADJRANK 2' Wani (Lingayat*) Merchants The economic condition of these people is fair; their main occupation is farming followed by trading. A few households have members employed outside the village.. 18 18 (.043) The Wani and also the Koshti families in this village and in Village C are Lingayats. Two households included on this line were listed in 1975 only by religious sect, as Lingayat, but are probably merchant (Wani) families.
