UPGRADE KIT SLOW STEAMING
The kit both extend the optimized and reliable
load range of the engine for continuous low load
operation and gives a major reduction in brake
specific fuel oil consumption in the low load range.
In opposite to permanent de-rating, the engine can
operate at any time up to its full installed power for
full sea speed.

RETROFIT PULSE LUBRICATING
SYSTEM
A system that allows the engine to operate with
reduced cylinder lubricating oil feed rates compared
with the existing accumulator system.
It distributes cylinder lubricating oil between the
piston rings thanks to the fully flexible precise
timing.

PISTON RUNNING PERFORMANCE
MONITOR MAPEX-PR
MAPEX-PR monitors the piston-running
performance during engine operation. By
monitoring cylinder and engine cooling
temperatures, it detects high friction and helps
prevent liner / piston scuffing.

PISTON ROD GLAND PACKAGE
The piston rod gland stabilizes the lubrication
oil quality, reduces leakage within the gland box
and decreases piston rod and scraper ring wear,
resulting in more effective scraping and reduction of
system oil consumption. The package performance
is best achieved by applying hardened piston rods
(new or reconditioned).
