Ed Lohrenz, B.E.S., CGD<br />

Ice Kube Systems Ltd.<br />

Ed Lohrenz is a partner in Ice Kube Systems Ltd., a manufacturer of water-to-water heat pumps designed for lowtemperature<br />

applications. He has worked in the geoexchange industry since the early 80’s, applying the technology to<br />

both residential <strong>and</strong> commercial applications. He has been involved in over 50 integrated geoexchange‚ systems in<br />

hockey rinks <strong>and</strong> large commercial <strong>and</strong> institutional buildings.<br />

Morris Lovett, PE<br />

OG&E<br />

Morris Lovett is currently the senior engineer of commercial/industrial markets at <strong>Oklahoma</strong> Gas <strong>and</strong> Electric. His<br />

primary duties are architectural <strong>and</strong> engineering community liaison, mechanical building design education <strong>and</strong> customer<br />

energy efficiency information studies for energy conservation <strong>and</strong> dem<strong>and</strong> management. Lovett has previously<br />

been with the University of <strong>Oklahoma</strong> <strong>and</strong> a design <strong>and</strong> operations engineer, USPCI as a design <strong>and</strong> maintenance<br />

engineer <strong>and</strong> Tulsa University as an electric <strong>and</strong> maintenance engineer.<br />

Kevin McCray, CAE<br />

National Ground Water Association<br />

Kevin McCray is the executive director of the 15,000-member National Ground Water Association headquartered at<br />

Westerville, Ohio. McCray first joined NGWA in 1979 as an editor with the association’s publishing operations. He also<br />

served as NGWA marketing director, convention workshops coordinator, director of the National Ground Water Information<br />

Center, <strong>and</strong> as the first executive director of The American Ground Water Trust.<br />

McCray has served on many water-related advisory groups <strong>and</strong> participated in the American Society of Association<br />

Executives’ Association Communication 2007 Future Search think tank. He has authored or compiled six books<br />

<strong>and</strong> dozens of articles for the ground water industry. He earned the designated “Certified Association Executive” in<br />

1989 from the American Society of Association Executives <strong>and</strong> serves on the Executive Management Section Council.<br />

John Mowen<br />

<strong>Oklahoma</strong> <strong>State</strong> University<br />

John Mowen is a Regents Professor in the Spears School of Business at <strong>Oklahoma</strong> <strong>State</strong> University. Mowen has won<br />

numerous awards for teaching <strong>and</strong> research. He has also consulted with many corporations <strong>and</strong> has served on the<br />

boards of directors of both non-profit <strong>and</strong> profit-making organizations. Mowen has authored or co-authored 10 books<br />

in the fields of consumer behavior, high-stakes decision-making, motivation, <strong>and</strong> leadership.<br />

Terry Proffer, CGD<br />

Major Geothermal<br />

Proffer’s experience includes ground source residential <strong>and</strong> commercial applications throughout the United <strong>State</strong>s<br />

ranging from New Engl<strong>and</strong> to the West Coast. Since joining Major Geothermal in July 2001, Proffer’s GSHP involvement<br />

has exp<strong>and</strong>ed to international projects. He is nationally recognized for system designs dealing with extreme<br />

weather conditioning requirements, unusual geoexchange applications <strong>and</strong> difficult host loop conditions.<br />

Proffer has authored several case histories of ground source installations <strong>and</strong> participated in the Geothermal Heat<br />

Pump Consortium’s teleconference program as a guest technical panelist. He is an experienced h<strong>and</strong>s-on residential<br />

<strong>and</strong> commercial installer <strong>and</strong> has advised manufacturers on geoexchange product improvements <strong>and</strong> supported other<br />

distributors with technical assistance. Proffer is an <strong>IGSHPA</strong> accredited installer since 1994, active <strong>IGSHPA</strong> certified<br />

trainer since 1996, <strong>and</strong> Certified GeoExchange Designer #16.<br />

Phil Rawlings, CGD<br />

Co-Energy Group<br />

Phil Rawlings is the geothermal systems specialist for Co-Energy Group. Prior to that, Rawlings owned a geothermal<br />

heat pump industry consulting firm based in Greenville, Texas. He has been an active member of the ground source<br />

heat pump industry since 1978. He currently provides technical support for major project feasibility studies, thermal<br />

conductivity testing, ground loop design, load calculation, <strong>and</strong> <strong>IGSHPA</strong> Installer certification training for Co-Energy<br />

Group projects. Rawlings is also a certified geoexchange designer, with hundreds of successful projects throughout<br />

North America <strong>and</strong> in numerous foreign countries.<br />
