Humidity Control and IAQ Solutions with Geothermal

Indoor air quality (IAQ) is a major consideration in building design and renovation.
Fresh air requirements can cause humidity problems that adversely affect
occupants and building materials. This presentation will give an overview of
the latest technologies applied to geothermal systems to address humidity
control, including energy recovery ventilators (ERVs) and a new concept for
modulating reheat that can be applied to a standard refrigeration circuit.
OSU Hybrid Lab Simulation Data Report

Dan Fisher has recently been involved in an effort to validate simulation models
using measured data from the hybrid ground source heat pump laboratory.
In this presentation, he will highlight the capabilities of the experimental facility,
discuss issues related to the experimental validation of simulation models and
present some of the early results of the study.

With today’s rising energy cost and the requirement to bring in enough ventilation
air to a building, how can I survive the cost and integrate into my geothermal
system? How can I improve the building’s air quality? In this session, we will
discuss how to save on sizing and energy consumption. We will also talk about
how to reduce outside air requirements with proper filtration. This session will
give you valuable information that can help new additions as well as retrofits.
