The <strong>1st</strong> <strong>International</strong> <strong>Cruise</strong> <strong>Conference</strong> (abbr. ICC) will take place on September the 26 th and 27 th<br />
2008, at the University of Applied Sciences in Bremerhaven. We are looking <strong>for</strong>ward to two days<br />
during which academics and experts will have the opportunity to exchange in<strong>for</strong>mation, ideas and<br />
thoughts about the future of the cruise sector. Keynote speeches, as well as workshops, are planned<br />
in order to stimulate and enable discussion.<br />
Apart from a stimulating and thought-provoking discussion, the contributions and ensuing discussion<br />
will be documented and published in the <strong>for</strong>m of conference proceedings. The themes covered (i.e.<br />
tracks) are outlined in the accompanying call <strong>for</strong> papers. Within this context we invite and encourage<br />
researchers and practitioners to contribute and present papers. Selected contributions and keynote<br />
speeches are going to the basis <strong>for</strong> discussion amongst the participants (contributors and<br />
attendants).<br />
Suitable catering will be provided and is included in the participation fee. In addition, the following<br />

By train:<br />
From the railway station ‘Bremerhaven HBF’ it takes about 5 minutes by taxi or bus to the University<br />
of Applied Sciences. Possible busses are 502, 505, 506, 508 and 509. The bus station is called<br />
"Hochschule Bremerhaven".<br />
By car:<br />
Leaving the motorway A27 at the slip road "Bremerhaven Mitte". Following the street on the left<br />
lane until you arrive at the first junction where you have to turn one´s left to reach the Deichstrasse.<br />
Now just follow the Deichstrasse until the next junction where you have to turn one´s right into the<br />
Fährstrasse. The Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences is on the left hand side. There are<br />
parking possibilities around the University.<br />
