Request for access to information on unidentified flying objects and others<br />
Please would you provide me with the following information; or in the event that such requests are chargeable, a<br />
schedule of costs; or in the event that there is a fonnal procedure or application fonn, details of that procedure or<br />
application form; or in the event that the Ministry of Defence do not record/process/store the following information,<br />
details of the government department or public body that does; or an explanation as to why the following information is<br />
not publicly available:<br />
Policy on (i) recording, (ii) analysis and (iii) public disclosure of information relating to:<br />
1. Reports of unidentified flying objects;<br />
2. Investigation of those reports (hereafter referred to as 'cases');<br />
( 3. Cases in which the identity of the ' unidentified flying object' is determined and poses no threat to national security;<br />
1 4. Cases in which the identity of the 'unidentified flying object' is determined and may/could pose a threat to national<br />
security;<br />
·, 5. Cases in which the identity of the 'unidentified flying object' is unknown.<br />
· 6. Cases in which the ' unidentified flying object' is suspected or detennined to be terrestrial in origin and not a source<br />
publicly represented at the United Nations;<br />
7. Cases in which the ' unidentified flying object' is suspected or determined to be of extra-terrestrial origin; or<br />
comprise extra-terrestrial technology; or be occupied by an extra-terrestrial individual;<br />
8. Cases in which the ' unidentified flying object' is suspected or determined to be from Earth's past civilisations or<br />
future; or comprise technology from Earth's past civilisations or future; or be piloted by individuals from Earth's<br />
past or future;<br />
9. Cases in which the ' unidentified flying object' is suspected or determined to comprise technology copied or derived<br />
from extra-terrestrial technology or technology from Earth's past civilisations or future (including 'reverseengineering').<br />
