Back in 1946, the Parker brothers shipped<br />
timber from Pitt County up the Tar River<br />
to <strong>Wilson</strong> County to be milled prior<br />
to the construction of their new restaurant:<br />
Parker’s Barbecue. Today, over 60 years later,<br />
their milled timber still houses a consistently<br />
packed restaurant serving the same great<br />
food. Parker’s continues to thrive largely on a<br />
legendary worth-of-mouth reputation built by<br />
locals and out-of-state travelers alike.<br />
Parker’s feeds people from all over the<br />
country on any given day. Time has shown that<br />
folks go out of their way to stop at Parker’s<br />
