SHOWERS
OF BLESSINGS
My life has been covered in grace and showered with blessing. And
it has been a journey that I would not trade for anything! I have read
so many Eye on Arbonne stories that talk about Arbonne being “life
changing,” and I do not want it to become a cliché, but it is true! I
was not looking for one more thing to add to my already very full
life when Arbonne came knocking. But, I will be forever grateful that
I said “yes.”
First of all, I have to tell you that when I started my Arbonne business
last summer, I was a big baby! I excitedly jumped in with both
feet and quickly found myself crying on the phone with my best
friend and sponsor, now NVP Kelley Feste, saying, “I have talked to
five people and they have all said no! I do not think this is working.
Maybe I am just not good at this.” It is a good thing her husband,
Joey, said, “Get back in there, you big baby! I used to have 100
people a day tell me no as a stockbroker. Quit your whining!” This
was my first glimpse at what a wimp I really was! And to top it off,
shortly after this, I had four business builders in a row back out at
the last minute!
This was the beginning of many lessons learned. And, it was the
beginning of God digging deep into my heart and changing and
growing me.
In July 2005, when Kelley first shared Arbonne with me, I immediately
wanted to join her, but I honestly did not know why. Was it
the potential to earn money, or the adventure? Was I just scared to
miss out on something big? What I realized is that it was all those
things, but even more, it was the desire to be a part of building
something. I had several people in my life that simply needed an
open door and that is what I saw with Arbonne. We often hear that
when we offer Arbonne to someone, we are offering them a gift,
which is true. However, the greatest gift of all is watching Arbonne
transform another’s life. Without a doubt, the greatest joy in the last
nine months is not so much what we have built, but who we have
built it with and how it has impacted their lives. I could never put into
words the love I have for my amazing team and the reward in coming
along side them and seeing them shine.
With the many joys, tears have come and lessons have been
learned. When I began my Arbonne business, I relied on my faith
to build my team. I prayed that it would be built, rather than attempting
to do it all on my own strength. By my fourth full month in the
business, we had gone into qualification for Region and were riding
high. But the following month was terrible and the next one was
even worse with people quitting and entire Districts dropping off.
success strategy:
Think about what you
are thinking about.
Out of three girls on my team, who were in their third month of qualification
for Area, none completed. I was devastated. At 10 p.m. on
close day, I stood by my computer crying, holding my Arbonne business
in my tight little fists. It dawned on me that I had taken everything
into my own hands and it was not working! Today, I am almost
embarrassed that I was so disappointed at not completing Region in
my sixth month. I met so many women at NTC 2006 St. Louis, who
had persevered for years, paving the way for those of us who are
enjoying the blessing of Arbonne today. I am so appreciative.
On February 1 st , I decided once again to have the faith my business
would continue to succeed. I went back to some of the things that I
loved to do. Out of four weekends in February, two were spent
doing prison ministry, one doing rodeo ministry and the fourth,
vacationing with my husband! I joyfully worked my business and
when I looked at my group volume at the end of the month, we had
gone into qualification again for Region! We completed in March
and I am enjoying watching my team flourish. It is amazing what
can happen when you let go and have faith!
First of all, I want to thank my team. When I was blessed with all of
you, I was given over and above all I could ask for. To my gold ship
and first business builder, EAM Debbie Gaytan: What a blessing
you have been to me. Your joy, perseverance and ability to continually
have faith inspire me. To my cousins, EAM Adrian Sabom,
EAM Kim Kleberg and EAM Chrissy Kleberg: I love watching you
all emerge as such great leaders, and there is nothing like looking
over and seeing the faces of the ones I love as we lock arms and
head to the top! To DM Lisa Carrington: One of the greatest blessings
of this business is the precious new friendships that have
emerged, and I count yours as one of the dearest. I love your heart
and your no-matter-what attitude. I cannot wait to read your Eye on
Arbonne story! To my soul sister, AM Kristi Earles: A prayer was
answered when you were brought into this business with me. When
I think about your future, I feel like I could burst! To all of my awesome
AMs, DMs and Consultants: There will be nothing more
rewarding than watching each of you achieve your dreams and
goals. I look forward to the blessing of being a part of them.
To my best friend and sponsor, NVP Kelley Feste: Who knew? Thank
you. It has been a blessing each day working this business with you.
You are an exemplary leader and I feel blessed to follow your example.
What a ride this life is! I am so glad I have you in it with me. To
my travel buddy, ENVP Emily Alexander: Thanks for bucking up and
Kether Wilson and NVP-in-qualification Angela and Michael Flint:
Wow, what an upline! You all are servant leaders in the truest
sense. A mere thank you is not enough. I am both honored and
blessed to be on your team.
To my family: You all have been so supportive from the beginning
and it has meant so much to me.
To my husband, Jeff: Thank you for believing that I could do anything
and making me believe it too. You are my best friend and
biggest fan no matter what I am doing, and I treasure you. Thank
you for all your sacrifices and for being such an amazing father. I
love you!
To my children, Cole and Olivia: Oh, how I love you! I could not
ask for two better cheerleaders. Thank you for cheering me on and
sharing in every moment of this journey. You are amazing; I want
to be more like you!
