The award-winning <strong>ARC</strong> Plus is the next-generation transmitter remote control<br />
system for full-time, multi-site or dial-up operation, with the ability to connect an<br />
unlimited number of sites, each with up to 256 channels of metering, status and<br />
command. You can access the entire system from the front panel, take control<br />
using a Web-browser or PC software, or dial in to your system over the phone.<br />
Its front-panel interface features a large display with bright, easy-to-read metering<br />
values and gives you rapid site and channel navigation. It offers unrivalled power<br />
and flexibility to unattended station operation. Routines are stored onboard,<br />
so a dedicated computer at the transmitter site is not needed. It can read and<br />
automatically adjust conditions at multiple sites, giving you greater control over<br />

Burk Flame and Spark Detector<br />
The AFD-1 interfaces with a remote facility management system, such as the Burk Technology <strong>ARC</strong> Plus, <strong>ARC</strong>-16, GSC3000 or VRC2500, to<br />
notify personnel of electrical arcs and flame. Applications include transmitter enclosures, antenna tuning units, transfer switches, etc. The<br />

link with the SL-1, studio<br />

and issue commands. The efficient design of the <strong>ARC</strong> Plus communication protocol<br />
ensures effective performance, even at modem speeds.<br />
The SL-1 allows deployment of IP-enabled technologies where traditional Ethernet<br />
connectivity is impractical or unavailable. Unlike a serial-to-Ethernet converter, which<br />
allows RS-232 devices to operate on an existing Ethernet link, the SL-1 enables new<br />
IP connectivity to the remote site.<br />
Operating in pairs over a full-time bidirectional serial link, the SL-1 accommodates a<br />
wide variety of RS-232 links, including radio, leased line and dial-up, with appropriate<br />
modems. To optimize bandwidth efficiency, the SL-1 learns the location of each<br />
network device and transports only those packets destined for the opposite side of<br />
the bridge. Since the SL-1 bridges both networks onto the same subnet, integration<br />
