Client retention is a key lever for the Group’s<br />

organic growth strategy. It involves forging<br />

strong, lasting partnerships based on trust,<br />

and is nourished by dialogue and sharing. This<br />

strategy relies on the Clients for Life ® retention<br />

process.<br />

A LEVER FOR INTERNAL GROWTH<br />

Client retention is one of the Group’s major levers of<br />

internal growth. For this reason, Sodexho puts clients<br />

at the core of its organization, decision-making process<br />

and actions, and has made client retention one of<br />

the Group’s foremost improvement indicators.<br />

A KEY METHOD<br />

This initiative relies on a methodology which identifi es<br />

the strengths and weaknesses of the Group’s offers,<br />

introduces required actions, assesses the results<br />

thereby building sustainable relationships based on<br />

trust with each client. This approach has been adopted<br />

throughout the Group, with retention objectives for<br />

each entity.<br />

FULLY ENGAGED TEAMS<br />

Sodexho’s operational managers are trained to manage<br />

partnerships pro-actively and use long-term planning<br />

tools. The wide-scale rollout of the client retention process<br />

demands signifi cant resources to keep everyone in<br />

the organization and at every level on track. Dedicated<br />

retention resources have already been deployed within<br />

many countries with more to follow.<br />

UNITED STATES<br />

Sodexho retains 100% of its Federal Reserve Bank<br />

accounts.<br />

A 25-year client of Sodexho, the Federal Reserve Bank renewed<br />

its contract for 15 sites. Sodexho’s success is based on its strong,<br />

long-term commitment to deliver its clients’ expectations and develop<br />

lasting relationships at the national as well as on the local levels. It is<br />

also a testament to Sodexho’s effi cient organization and the expertise<br />

of its on-site teams.<br />

<strong>2005</strong>-<strong>2006</strong> AWARDS<br />

BRAZIL: AVS Brasil Getofl ex and Siemens named Sodexho “Best Supplier of the year”.<br />

CHILE: Sodexho received recognition for its safety performance<br />

from Anglo American.<br />

UNITED KINGDOM: Marathon Oil Company awarded Sodexho the “Marathon<br />

European Business Unit prize” and named it “HSE Large Contractor of the Year”<br />

for its achievements in Hygiene, Security and Environment.<br />
