前 言
Preface
Hong Kong IPD states “Intellectual capital Management
(ICM) is a management tool, which
allows organizations to tap into reservoirs of
knowledge and expertise that they already possess
but may not be exploiting effectively”.
The purpose of submitting the reports is to
identify Kwong Wing Cargo Service Ltd (“KW”)
IC strength and weakness, to underline the
company philosophies, to form a bridge for
communications, to show the future directions
and to develop more fruitful projects with stakeholders.
It is true that we are used to focus on financial
statements of a company while neglecting its
foundation – intellectual capital. Intellectual
capital refers to three basic elements; human,
structural and relational. It is especially important
nowadays to cope with knowledge economy
and global competition.
After highlighting the company and its stakeholders,
the three IC elements are elaborated.
Risk analysis and mitigation measures are
discussed and reviewed. This report concludes
with KW in future and IC summary so as to explore
the next step where KW is pursuing.
