Fitness gets personal, in all new<br />
training classes at Fota Island Resort<br />
A "one-size fits all" approach to exercise is a thing of the past at Fota<br />
Island Resort where a whole range of new fitness options help you<br />
select what works for your body to achieve excellent results.<br />
The new high performance gym, now open next to the Training Facility<br />
at Fota Island Resort, is home to the resort's highly-trained and experienced<br />
personal trainers who have introduced new personal training programmes<br />
to help you make 2012 your year for exercise success.<br />
Each training programme is specially tailored to suit the needs of each<br />
individual, as well as the specific demands of different sports, with a three<br />
week Compulsory Introductory Course (€200 for members, €270 for non<br />
members) consisting of two one-on-one sessions with your personal trainer<br />
per week.<br />
The Introductory Course will then be followed by a six week Semi-<br />
Personal Training programme (€270 for members and €350 for non-members)<br />
of two sessions per week with more of a group emphasis, placing<br />
you in a small group of three people so that you can train together and<br />
enjoy the improvements you see from one session to the next.<br />
Along with your Introductory Course, you will also receive five complimentary<br />
fitness classes so that you can choose from one of the resort's<br />
numerous other exercise options to complement your personal get fit plan.<br />
As well as the popular swimming classes, Boot Camps and a new six<br />
week Pilates course (for €80 per person), fitness classes now available at<br />
Fota Island Resort (costing from just €5 for members, €6 for corporate<br />
and €8 for non-members) include:<br />
Box-Fit, a low-impact high-intensity class based on all the fitness principles<br />
of boxing which is excellent for weight loss and muscle tone. Bob<br />
and weave an punch your way to that perfect physique and relieve stress.<br />
BodyPump, a 45 minute workout using barbells, challenges all your<br />
major muscle groups by using the best weight room exercises like squats,<br />
presses, lifts and curls to burn up to 600 calories per class. Great music<br />
and your choice of weight inspires you to get the results you long for - and<br />
fast!<br />
Zumba, the hottest new fitness craze incorporating Latin rhythms with<br />
fun, easy to follow moves. So much craic you forget you are keeping fit.<br />
Over 50's Dancercize, fun yet gentle exercise to promote movement,<br />
strength and flexibility.<br />
New Yoga classes are taught by Martina Cunningham who has over 11<br />
years experience introduces a gentle Yoga class incorporating strength,<br />
flexibility & relaxation to achieve improved circulation, a light and strong<br />
body and calm mind.<br />
