Inverter
Cyclone wind turbines can be used in conjunction with any suitable inverter. Joliet Technology
highly recommend the use of SMA Windy Boy inverters which are manufactured and configured to
order by SMA for Cyclone wind turbines.
• SMA are well known to be world leaders in inverter technology.
• SMA inverters carry an extendable 5 year warranty.
• SMA inverters can be configured for on or off grid use anywhere in the world, negating the
requirement for two types of inverters.
• SMA inverters now incorporate the latest ‘opti-cool’ system to ensure higher performance
under heavy loads.
• Additional SMA equipment is available for remote system monitoring via GSM or internet. Hybrid
and Island grid configurations can be designed around the SMA Sunny Island battery charge
controller.
All inverters can be set as AC110V/120V/220V/230V single phase and 50Hz/60Hz output.
Only 5kw, 10kw, 20kw can be supplied with AC380V, three phase output inverters.
Three phase options
For ON grid configurations requiring a three phase output it is advised to
use one SMA inverter for each phase (three inverters) For OFF grid, battery
charging systems Joliet Technology can supply a single to three phase
converter configured to client requirements.
On grid inverters (SMA) can be supplied to conform to local grid
operators requirements in most countries.
