Aging Well Through Life Transitions will be an informational,
interactive, experiential workshop that will benefit
therapists and counselors who want to learn more about
the aging process. Topics include:
Theories & Perceptions of Aging – the myths, the
realities, and assessment of aging on multiple levels
Seven Keys to Aging Well – what people need to do
to keep the passing years from making them old
Marriage & Divorce – challenges, sexual dysfunction
and what happens when the kids move out
Fears of the Disappearing Mind – Is it depression
or dementia?
The Best Is Yet to Come – The power of emotional
support, personal relationships, and releasing and
expressing creativity
Workshop Cost: $175
for 6 CE (cont. education) hours • Priority before Sept.
7: $135 for LIOS affiliates • $150 for general public

Workshop Presenters
CYNTHIA (CYNDY)
FITZGERALD, PHD, the Dean
of LIOS Graduate College
of Saybrook University, has
taught psychology and social
sciences and worked as a
counselor and a marriage and
family therapist. Her teaching
has focused on human
development and social issues.
As a generative adult, she enjoys encouraging and
learning from her adult daughters, sons-in-law, and
three delightful grandchildren. Each summer she
travels with a medical mission team to Guatemala,
where she offers art therapy sessions for children
pre- and post-operatively. As an active adult, she
is a member of the USTA and enjoys singles and
mixed doubles tennis, and she
relaxes by playing music with
friends and being creative with
watercolor.
PAULA FITZGERALD-BOOS,
MA, a career and executive
coach and consultant, loves
helping people achieve their
goals. In her role as a transition
and career counselor, she helps clients find and
prepare to interview for their dream jobs. She is
a LIOS graduate and currently works at Seattle
University, The Brighton Group, and PFB Enterprises.
