The following appeal from a Company
Sergt.-Major of the King's o..,n Scottish
Borderers has been forwarded to me by Mr.
\Vm. Jones, Secretary to the Insurance
Committee for the Burgh of Glasgow, 59 Bell
Street, City, asking me to do the best I can.
If members of the Battalion or their friends can
assist, please communicate with Mr. Jones
direct. I personally know Coy. Sergt.-Major
Fitzgerald, and any articles sent will be greatly
appreciated by him and his interned companions
in arms.

DEAR WILL,
I am writing to let you know that we
are getting on all right, and to ask you to
interest yourself on behalf of our needy ones.
Will it be asking too much of you to collect
any part-worn underclothing (shirts, vests,
pants, etc.). that any friends may care to give,
and send them in bundles addressed to me.
They will be extremely useful, when the warm
weather comes, as a change of underclothing. I
am all right myself. but there are some of us
here who get nothing from home and have to
depend on the kindness of others. Packets of
tobacco, etc., would also be very useful.
