Education:<br />

TechCon Chicago 2013 will feature a dynamic line-up of Keynote Speakers like:<br />

Scott Stratten - President and Author of Unmarketing<br />

Sara Santiago - Digital Marketing Expert in Mobile Applications and Mobile Websites<br />

Midori Connolly- CEO at Pulse Staging and Events<br />

Mana Ionescu - President at Lightspan Digital<br />

The committee's educational goal is to go outside the usual speaker pool in the event industry and tap<br />

some of the most innovative presenters in the digital and traditional tech industry. The morning sessions<br />

will tackle the myth and realities of digital marketing delivering "cutting through the fat" presentations on<br />

social media and mobile applications/websites. Followed by a digital marketing session with a hands on<br />

implementation plan so attendees not only learn how to use digital marketing correctly but leave the day<br />

with a plan to implement.<br />

Three concurrent 1-hour tracks will cover specific technology discussions revolving around the following:<br />

Track 1: Tools of Technology - A track designed to introduce attendees to the tools available to them<br />

ranging from traditional AV equipment, social media tools, registration software and mobile solutions.<br />

Track 2: Strategic Technology - A track around trends forecasting, SMM and Tech, best practices and<br />

evaluating ROI.<br />

Track 3: Sales - A new track based on a sales focus using technology tools. Potential tracks include online<br />

data analysis, digital advertising, and digital sale solutions.<br />

Learner Outcomes:<br />

Planners will be introduced to various event technology solutions and how they can be incorporated into<br />

their events.<br />

Suppliers will be introduced to social media/digital marketing to drive relationships and sales.<br />

All attendees will have the opportunity to experience the hottest industry technologies in action.<br />

All attendees will be armed with several options for each technology component so they can make an<br />

educated recommendation based on their audience and their budget.<br />

CEU Tracking:<br />

Attendees will have the opportunity to earn up to 7 Continuing Education clock hours (CEs) towards the<br />

CMP application or Recertification application.<br />

Virtual Component:<br />

TechCon will once again be using a virtual hybrid solution allowing an even expanded reach and reuse of<br />

educational elements of the event.
