Philosophy<br />

DIRK BIKKEMBERGS — THE BRAND<br />

Dirk Bikkembergs is <strong>the</strong> Belgian designer and <strong>the</strong> brand that<br />

finds inspiration in <strong>the</strong> union between <strong>the</strong> sensuality of <strong>fashion</strong><br />

and <strong>the</strong> strength of sport. He is known as one of <strong>the</strong> ‘Antwerp<br />

Six’, a group of avant-garde <strong>fashion</strong> designers who graduated<br />

from <strong>the</strong> Royal Academy of Arts. His entire career has been<br />

dedicated to <strong>fashion</strong> for <strong>the</strong> modern man and woman, who in<br />

his vision, are strong and healthy.<br />

In early 2012, <strong>the</strong> South African designer Hamish Morrow took<br />

over <strong>the</strong> role of Creative Director from Dirk Bikkembergs to<br />

supervise and coordinate <strong>the</strong> design of all <strong>the</strong> brand’s lines.<br />

Traditionally inspired by <strong>the</strong> stylistic associations of luxury and<br />

sport, tailored elegance and a high-tech spirit, he has been<br />

given <strong>the</strong> task of reviewing and projecting <strong>the</strong> unique creative<br />

heritage of <strong>the</strong> Belgian founder into <strong>the</strong> future.<br />
