K40 Background Simulations for the Seawiet OM

Analysis
The raw data is analysed in ROOT:
• using PMT quantum efficiencies obtained on our
test bench, actual hits are calculated
• from these we get the total 40 K background rate,
coincidence rates within a certain time window,
and correlated coincidences
• for calibration, the distribution of correlated hits on
the OM surface needs to be understood
• we are also looking at time differences (still in
progress)
