If William Kinrade was the grand-son of John & Jane Fargher, as recorded in the<br />
census for 1871 and 1881, then he must have been the son of one of their daughters<br />
otherwise his surname would have been recorded as Fargher.<br />
Assuming the daughter was at least 15 years of age at the birth, then she must have<br />
been born before 1850. The only possible daughter is Catherine unlesss there was<br />
another, as yet undetected, daughter between John and James.<br />
Catherine married James Stafford on the 14 th of December, 1872, at Andreas. They<br />
had one daughter, Elleanor Jane, baptized on the 21 st of June, 1874, at Andreas.<br />
The 1881 census records a second grand-son, John aged 2. An illegitiate birth for a<br />
John Edward Fargher on the 8 th of April, 1879, at Andreas. The mother’s name was<br />
given as Ann.<br />
25.18 William Kinrade—1864<br />
25.18.1 John Fargher (6404) was born circa 1815 at Andreas. He married Jane Caine on<br />
the 21st of August, 1841, at Andreas.<br />
In 1851 he was living with his family at Ballakinney, Andreas, when he was<br />
employed as an agricultural labourer. In 1861 the family were living at Cronk Kerry,<br />
Andreas. In 1871 the family were living at Ballawhane, Andreas. In 1881 the family<br />
were living at 3, College Street, Ramsey, when John was employed as a mason’s<br />
labourer. In 1891, a widower, he was living at 3, College St., Ramsey.<br />
25.18.2 Jane Caine (6405) ws born circa 1821 at Andreas. She married John Fargher on<br />
the 21st of August, 1841, at Andreas.There is a possible burial at Andreas on the 9th<br />
of December, 1883, when the age was recorded as 59 years.<br />
Her mother, Catherine [Caine] was living with the family in 1861. A widow, her age<br />
was given as 76 years and her birth place as Andreas.<br />

25.19.1 Catherine Jane Fargher (6406) was baptized on the 12th of December, 1841, at<br />
Andreas. In 1851 she was living with her parents at Ballakinney, Andreas. In 1861<br />
she was living with her parents at Cronk Kerry, Andreas, and was employed as an<br />
agricultural labourer. In 1871 she was employed as a general servant on the farm of<br />
William Quayle at Cronk–y–Chee, Andreas.<br />
25.19.2 John Fargher (6407) was baptized on the 12th of October, 1844, at Andreas. In<br />
1851 he was living with his parents at Ballakinney, Andreas. In 1861 he was living<br />
with is parents at Cronk Kerry, Andreas, and was apprenticed as a shoemaker. In<br />
