• The presentation techniques course should be every second year do cover all new<br />

candidates.<br />

• Also apply for funding from Statoil<br />

5. Changes in the <strong>DIGOP</strong> bylaws<br />

Number <strong>of</strong> board members was discussed. Agreement on 6, 7 or 8 members.<br />

New bylaws was approved.<br />

2. Purpose<br />

The purpose <strong>of</strong> the organisation is to:<br />

• promote the interests <strong>of</strong> doctoral candidates with respect to pr<strong>of</strong>essional and<br />

practical questions during their study.<br />

• find representatives for the boards <strong>of</strong> the departments and for the dr.ing. board<br />

3. The board <strong>of</strong> the organisation<br />

The organisation is managed by a board consisting <strong>of</strong>:<br />

• 2 members from the board <strong>of</strong> the department (1 from each department)<br />

• 2 members from the dr.ing. board (1 from each department)<br />

• 1 contact person for DION (The organisation for doctoral candidates at <strong>NTNU</strong>)<br />

• All doctoral candidates at the Faculty <strong>of</strong> Applied Earth Sciences can be elected for the<br />

board <strong>of</strong> the organisation.<br />

2. Purpose<br />

The purpose <strong>of</strong> the organisation is to:<br />

• promote the interests <strong>of</strong> doctoral candidates at the Department <strong>of</strong> Geology and<br />

Mineral Resources Engineering and the Department <strong>of</strong> Petroleum Engineering and Applied<br />

Geophysics with respect to pr<strong>of</strong>essional and practical questions during their study<br />

<strong>DIGOP</strong> will try to find candidates for boards and councils (dr.ing. council, DION, etc.).<br />

Those who are already committed to such a task should preferably be a member <strong>of</strong> <strong>DIGOP</strong>.<br />

All doctoral candidates at the Department <strong>of</strong> Geology and Mineral Resources Engineering<br />

and the Department <strong>of</strong> Petroleum Engineering and Applied Geophysics can be elected for<br />

the board <strong>of</strong> the organisation.<br />
