Heavy-Ion Physics and Nuclear Astrophysics Group<br />

Main research fields: Physics of strongly interacting matter (equation of state, QCD motivated effective<br />

models, hadron resonance gas); Heavy-Ion collisions at intermediate and high energies (statistical, kinetic and<br />

fluid-dynamical models, non-equilibrium phase transitions); Nuclear astrophysics (structure and dynamics of<br />

compact stars, nuclear composition and EOS of stellar matter); Medical and technical applications (modeling<br />

heavy-ion and proton beam energy deposition in extended media, radiation damage of biomolecules, physics<br />

of ADS systems).<br />
