only suggest that the procedural history here might be thought to provide<br />
powerful grounds for an exercise sympathetic to the position in which,<br />
through no apparent fault of theirs, the applicants now find themselves.<br />
If we are correct in our conclusion that P. & O. cannot be the right<br />
respondent, there is no point in sending the matter back to the industrial<br />
tribunal. We thus allow the appeal <strong>and</strong> declare that the complaint is not<br />
