classified according to a stringent system
operated by Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture
Authority. The system was introduced to
better meet our visitor expectations and to
give the travel trade greater confidence in
product recommendation. The emirate
now has more than 120 hotels, resorts and
hotel apartments – and more are about to
open or under construction. Hotels are
ranked from one-star to five-star with
hotel apartments being superior, deluxe or
standard. The choice of properties is
extensive, from family-centric hotel
apartments and alcohol-free city centre
resorts to super trendy properties with
popular night spots; from stunning
beachfront to stylish downtown business
hotels; from breathtaking desert retreats,
to mountain getaways; from island havens
to the überluxurious Emirates Palace. This
expanding accommodation stock is now
collaborating on the world’s first statutory
green hotel design and rating scheme in
an emirate-wide commitment to
