A dose of culture and cruising through dinner<br />
Morning<br />
Learn all about Islam and some UAE traditions with a visit to one of the world’s most<br />
impressive mosques – the stunning Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. This architectural marvel<br />
features 80 domes, 1,000 columns, gold-plated chandeliers, the world’s largest hand-made<br />
carpet and space for 40,000 worshippers. Take a one-hour, complimentary guided tour<br />
from 10am every Saturday-Thursday.<br />
Afternoon<br />
<strong>Visit</strong> the Saadiyat Island Cultural District exhibition at the opulent Emirates Palace hotel<br />
and get an insight into what will be the world’s largest single concentration of premier<br />
cultural institutions, including the Sheikh Zayed National Museum, Louvre <strong>Abu</strong> <strong>Dhabi</strong> and<br />
Guggenheim <strong>Abu</strong> <strong>Dhabi</strong>. It’s free-of-charge and open from 10am-10pm daily.<br />
From 4pm partake in the ultimate luxury tradition of afternoon tea at Emirates Palace with<br />
platters of dainty sandwiches, petit fours and fluffy scones and a pot of expertly brewed tea.<br />
Catch a cab up to the Heritage Village on the Corniche Breakwater and step back in time to<br />
a traditional desert lifestyle. Bargain with souvenir sellers and watch craftsmen at work<br />
producing pottery, weaving and metal work.<br />
Evening<br />
Enjoy an Arabian feast whilst cruising along the Corniche on a traditional dhow (sailing<br />
boat) converted into a restaurant. Be mesmerised by the glittering lights of <strong>Abu</strong> <strong>Dhabi</strong>’s<br />
Manhattan-style skyline.<br />
