Nonmajor Governmental Funds<br />

Special Revenue Funds<br />

Special Revenue funds are used to account for the proceeds of specific revenue sources (other<br />

than amounts relating to private purpose trusts or major capital projects) that are legally<br />

restricted to expenditures for specified purposes.<br />

Food Services Fund<br />

This fund accounts for the financial transactions related to the food service operations<br />

of the School District.<br />

Special Trust Fund<br />

A fund used to account for assets held by a school system in a trustee capacity or as<br />

an agent for individuals, private organizations, other governmental and/or other<br />

funds.<br />

Uniform School Supplies Fund<br />

This fund accounts for the purchase and sale of school supplies for use in the School<br />

District. Profits derived from such sales are used for school purposes or activities<br />

connected with the school. (The Balance Sheet and Statement of Revenues,<br />

Expenditures and Changes in Fund Balances are not presented because this fund is<br />

reported as part of the General Fund on a GAAP basis.)<br />

Rotary Special Services Fund<br />

A fund provided to account for income and expenses made in connection with goods<br />

and services provided by the School District. (The Balance Sheet and Statement of<br />

Revenues, Expenditures and Changes in Fund Balances are not presented because<br />

this fund is reported as part of the General Fund on a GAAP basis.)<br />

Public School Support Fund<br />

To support the various needs of the school such as supplies and equipment for use in<br />

the school; for support and recognition of school activities as deemed appropriate by<br />

the building principal. (The Balance Sheet and Statement of Revenues, Expenditures<br />

and Changes in Fund Balances are not presented because this fund is reported as part<br />

of the General Fund on a GAAP basis.)<br />

Pathfinder/Preschool Fund<br />

To account for receipts and expenditures in conjunction with preschool activities.<br />

Special Enterprise Fund<br />

To account for the financial transactions related to the child care program called<br />

“morning and afternoon supervision program”. This fund also accounts for building<br />

rental revenue associated with Trent Arena. (The Balance Sheet and Statement of<br />

Revenues, Expenditures and Changes in Fund Balances are not presented because<br />

this fund is reported as part of the General Fund on a GAAP basis.)<br />
