April 1998, Mr. Wohlwend has borne responsibility for the
Production and Information Technology divisions. As of
April 2003, he is to assume responsibility for the Trust
Banking business unit and its Trust Banking, Corporate
Clients and Information Technology divisions.
Georg Wohlwend is a Council member of the
Liechtenstein Technical College.
André Ruppli (born April 30, 1960; Swiss citizen) has
been a member of the Board of Management of VP Bank,
Vaduz, since December 1, 2001. Mr. Ruppli heads the
Investment Management business unit, is Chairman of the
Board of both IFOS Internationale Fonds Service AG,
Vaduz, and VP Bank Fondsleitung AG, Vaduz, and is a
board member of S.T.A. Salmann Trust AG, Vaduz.
Mr. Ruppli studied political science and history at Sophia
University in Tokyo (Japan), where he graduated with a
Bachelor of Arts degree. He subsequently earned a Master
of Arts degree in economics and political science from the
University of Chicago, USA.
He began his professional career in 1987 as an analyst with
Swiss Bank Corporation’s London subsidiary. From 1989
through 1992, he transferred to that company’s Zurich head
offices, where held the position of Senior Fund Manager
for institutional investors and fund management companies.
From 1993 through 1996, he was Chief Investment Officer
and Head of Asset Management at SBC’s offices in Singapore.
Afterwards, he held the position of Chief Investment
Officer and Head of Portfolio Management at Deutsche
Bank (Singapore) until 1998, and from 1998 through 2000
was Chief Investment Officer and Head of Dresdner Bank’s
Investment Centre in Singapore. In 2000, Mr. Ruppli
assumed the post of Global Chief Investment Officer at
Dresdner Private Banking International in Zurich. He joined
VP Bank in December of 2001 as Chief Investment Officer
and member of the Board of Management. As of April 2003,
he is to assume responsibility for the Investment Management
business unit.
Ernst Näf (born August 3, 1958; Swiss citizen) will join VP
Bank on September 1, 2003, as a member of the Board of
Management and head the Bank’s Private Clients Division.
Upon conclusion of his education in trade and commerce,
Mr. Näf received a federally certified banking specialist
diploma and subsequently completed studies at the Swiss
Banking School. From his participation in the
“Management Development Program” at UBS, he earned
“Senior Executive” certification and later attended a continuing
education course for senior executives at New York
University.
At UBS, Mr. Näf has gained many years of management
experience in various functions and segments within the
banking industry, as well as a solid understanding of
Private Banking and Corporate Clients Business.

The outside activities of Board of Management members
and any vested interests they may have can be ascertained
from the biographies shown under point 4.1.
4.3 Management contracts
VP Bank has concluded no management contracts with
third parties pertaining to the delegation of management
functions.
