Power Supplies / Transformers<br />
Most of <strong>Diode</strong> <strong>LED</strong>’s lights are 12V DC fixtures; the ULTRA BLAZE 24V High Output Strip Light<br />
and the ARRAY 24V Linkable Light Bar are 24V DC fixtures. SPLASH Series Industrial Wall<br />
Washers are 24V fixtures that plug directly in<strong>to</strong> a wall outlet. 12V lights require a transformer <strong>to</strong><br />
convert standard household 120V AC power <strong>to</strong> 12V DC, while 24V lights require a transformer<br />
<strong>to</strong> convert 120V AC power <strong>to</strong> 24V DC. <strong>Diode</strong> <strong>LED</strong> offers three types of transformer:<br />
• Plug-In Adapter<br />
• Hard-Wired Non-Dimmable Driver<br />
• Hard-Wired Dimmable Driver<br />
12V Hard-Wired Dimmable Drivers<br />
Hard-Wired Dimmable Drivers should be hard-wired <strong>to</strong> household AC power by a licensed electrician.<br />
Any of <strong>our</strong> dimmable light fixtures can be powered by <strong>our</strong> hard-wired dimmable drivers and a<br />
120V AC magnetic low voltage dimmer switch. All <strong>Diode</strong> <strong>LED</strong> Dimmable Drivers are UL Listed.<br />

DO NOT USE WITH A 120V ON/OFF SWITCH<br />
Pair these drivers with 120V magnetic low voltage dimmer switches. These drivers are<br />
not compatible with <strong>our</strong> REIGN dimmer switch or 12V-24V Inline On/Off Switches. For a<br />

For best performance with the dimmable driver line,<br />
configurable wattage must be between 50% and<br />
80% of the dimmable driver’s <strong>to</strong>tal capacuty.<br />

supply for maximum power output at optimum thermal and voltage conditions. As with any power supply, true<br />
actual maximum continuous current output depends upon various environmental fac<strong>to</strong>rs such as ambient temperature,<br />
line voltage fluctuations, and orientation that may affect heat dissipation. For optimum performance,<br />
do not load the power supply <strong>to</strong> more than 80% of its labeled rating.<br />
